Njeru is a mechanical engineer and MBA with 25 years’ experience across project transitions, operations, facilities and asset management – which is a polite way of saying he’s very good at making major facilities function exactly as they should. Originally from Kenya, Njeru brings a global perspective and a nononsense, outcomes-driven approach to Perth Film Studios.
He’s best known for helping transition Optus Stadium from design and build into full operation, a role that requires technical smarts, teamwork and an impressive level of calm.
From the Cutting Room Floor: Njeru politely but firmly rejects cricket, citing its most obvious flaw – it is a sport named after an insect – and is similarly unmoved by AFL, which he regards as a winter counterpart designed primarily to keep cricketers fit in the off-season.
